A huge Shout Out to Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream for sharing free ice cream with everyone last night. We stopped by our local ice cream shop and enjoyed a free scoop of any flavor. I had Chuncky Monkey, Brantley had Strawberry, Hunter had Chocolate and Amy had something Mudslide. She said it was a little bit of everything in it. We don’t the occassion for the free ice cream - but I do know there were about 50 people in line when we left. Oh yeah - prompts to the management for having 10 scoopers in there and getting us through the line in less than 5 minutes.

Today we are off to Deer Valley Elementary School to register Hunter for Kindergarten. His only question - can we go see the playground today.

Ed had big plans for us again yesterday. This spring weather is really getting him in the “Fun Day” mode. We loaded up the kids and headed out for Lowe’s. Objective: Allow the kids to select flowers to plant in the front yard. We selected quite a variety of red, purple, pink and blue flowers. We headed home, cleaned out the flower beds, dug up monkey grass and moved it around. Then, Hunter, Brantley, and Lucy (our neighbor) helped plant the flowers. We had a ball. Hunter said his favorite part was digging up the dirt and Brantley’s was planting the flowers. Y’all stop by sometime and see our handy work!

Hunter played his first T-ball game today. The field was a little wet and muddy and that made it even better. His team is called the Pirates. We posted pictures from the game in the Photo Gallery. Hunter is the one with the black pants on.

During the past week, Hunter has begun sticking his fingers slightly in his mouth for just a moment. He was almost like licking them and then doing it again and again every so often. So as parents we asked Hunter, “What are you doing?” His response is puzzling. “I like sofies because they taste like feffers.” We have yet to figure it out. Ed

Monday night was our first practice. Has anyone ever seen the Bad News Bears. Need I say more……

Really - it was a blast. Hunter loved it. He’s hitting left handed and making his Fluffy proud of him. Brantley is loving picking all the “flowers”. Next time I have been instructed we must take a cup with water so the flowers can grow.
